The Historic Grace Church in Providence Rhode Island’s new Pavilion addition designed by Centerbrook Architects breathtakingly offsets the weight and opacity of the original building with great respect for an Richard Upjohn treasure. The lighting design incorporates a white and color changing backlight for the ship’s hull form of the ceiling, with integrated white light downlighting, integrated architectural uplighting from columns and layers of art accent lighting and decorative downlighting in the wings.
