Smith College Seelye Hall is the culmination of extensive research into the built-environment’s impact on styles of learning and collaboration. This modern take on a classroom has no single teaching wall, flexible furniture, and is surrounded by markup surfaces, display and daylighting. Close collaboration with the Sasaki design team allowed us to help sculpt the ceiling to integrate direct, indirect and display lighting for maximum flexibility and ergonomics.
